Paper modelling is a niche market, but thanks to the internet an international one.
Diderick A den Bakker produces paper models and last year published A4 Pacific Sir Nigel Gresley.
He says that this model is popular with modellers on the continent but is still virtually unknown in the UK.
As the picture shows, it is not a child’s model, but many tricky details are optional, thus making a less-difficult model than shown in the photo.
These models are scale O (1/48th) and the price excluding postage is 22,50 EUR.
A set of lasercut details (driving and breaking gear) is available at 17,50 EUR. It can be ordered from www.zeistbouwplaten.nl.
A print-yourself download version is also available, which would enable the modeller to decide on their own scale, priced 12,50 EUR.
